Lending with Encore Atelier
Turn pieces you rarely wear into income. Here is how listing, renting out and getting paid works.
Step by step
i.
Create your account
Sign up with email, Google or Apple, then connect your bank details so you can be paid.
ii.
Add your piece
Photograph it, add measurements, a retail price and your daily price. You can also offer it for sale.
iii.
Set your terms
Choose which carriers you offer, whether you do in-person exchanges, and when the piece is available.
iv.
Accept requests
Reply within 24 hours. Accept, or decline if the dates don't work. Message the renter in the app.
v.
Send it out
Post it tracked and add the tracking number. The renter pays the postage.
vi.
Clean it and get paid
When the return is confirmed your earnings are released into your wallet. Withdraw to your bank any time.
Photos that sell
i.
Plain white background
Hang or lay the piece against a white wall or sheet. We tidy the background for you on upload.
ii.
Natural light
Shoot by a window in daylight. No flash, no filters.
iii.
Steam first
Steam or press the piece so it hangs cleanly.
iv.
Show everything
Front, back, label and close-ups of any marks. Each photo is dated.
Your wallet
Your daily price
You set it. A 3-day rental at £24 a day is £72.
Pending
Shown in your wallet from the moment a booking is accepted.
Available
Released 48 hours after the renter confirms the return.
Withdrawing
Withdraw to your bank account. It usually arrives in 1 to 2 working days.
Postage
Paid by the renter, so it never comes out of your earnings.

Yes. Add a sale price and the Buy option appears on the listing. A bought piece comes off rental.
What if a renter cancels?+
You receive any cancellation fee into your wallet. See the cancellation policy for the timings.
Can I take payment outside the site?+
No. Off-site payments aren't protected and break our Terms, and may lead to a restricted account.
