Delivery and returns

Sample wording. Last updated [date].

You choose how to get the piece at checkout, after you pick your dates.

Postage to you

The lender chooses which carriers they offer. You pick from those and pay the postage to get the piece to you. The lender posts it tracked and adds the tracking number to your booking.

In-person exchange

Free, when the lender offers it. Agree a time and a public place in Messages.

When it arrives

Photograph the piece within 24 hours of receiving it: front, back and any marks, and add them to your booking. They are the record of the condition it arrived in.

If you don't add photos

  • The lender's photos are used as the record of the piece's condition
  • You can't claim it arrived dirty, damaged or not as described, and you can't ask for a fit refund
  • You can still report that it never arrived
  • Photos added after 24 hours are saved but marked as late

Returning your rental

  • You arrange and pay for your own tracked return
  • Pack it securely, with a return address on the parcel
  • Don't wash or dry clean it
  • Photograph your receipt and add the tracking number to your booking straight away

Who is responsible in the post?

You are responsible for the piece until it safely reaches the lender. We don't sell parcel insurance. The cover comes from the postage service you choose when you buy your return label, so choose one that covers the piece's full retail price, and keep your receipt, tracking number and a photo of the sealed parcel.

Late returns

If you post it after your agreed final day, the lender can charge a late fee of 100% of the daily rental price for each day it is late, up to 7 days. It starts the day after your final day, counted from the tracking date, with one day's grace if the parcel is clearly on its way.
